Mbappe explains delay in signing new PSG deal
Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has said he has not yet decided if to stay or leave the club.
Mbappe’s current contract expires next year and he is yet to agree fresh terms with the Ligue 1 champions.
PSG director Leonardo claimed in early December that the club were making progress on new deals for Mbappe and strike partner Neymar, but neither player has so far committed their future to the club.
Real Madrid and Liverpool are monitoring Mbappe’s situation at the Parc des Paris and speaking after scoring a brace in their 4-0 win over Montpellier on Friday, the 22-year-old said: “I’ve had this question before.
“We are discussing with the club to find a project. I am thinking about it, because if I sign, it will be in order to invest myself in the long term.
“I am very happy here. The supporters and the club have always helped me. I’m going to think about what I want to do in the next few years, where I want to be.
“I am reflecting on it, not trying to buy time or anything like that. If I sign, I will stay, so I have to think about it.”
