Manchester United officially confirm all 11 released players this summer

Manchester United have confirmed 11 departures so far this summer, marking the start of Erik ten Hag’s club-wide rebuilding.

Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic, and Lee Grant have all left the first-team squad since Ten Hag took over.

As a result, United is on the lookout for two midfielders.

Ten Hag has his eye on Frenkie de Jong, and with each passing day, that deal looks more likely.

Meanwhile, after assisting United’s Under-23s team last season, player-coach Paul McShane will retire from football.

He’ll return to the club’s Professional Development Phase to continue his coaching duties.

In March, goalkeeper Paul Wooston, who was only 23 at the time, announced his retirement from the game. United will keep in touch with him as he moves forward in his career.

When their contracts with the club expire, five academy players will leave.

United has helped D’Mani Mellor, Reece Devine, and Connor Stanley find new clubs in preparation for the new season.

After wowing on loan at Dundee United last season, the club decided to extend Dylan Levitt’s contract.

A new contract was offered to Martin Svidersky, but it is expected that he will also leave the club.

These players, whether in the first-team or academy, have been good servants to the club.
