“If you don’t like it go jump off a cliff” Toyin Lawani tells critics over her Christmas outfit made of pepper and mops

Toyin Lawani, a Nigerian celebrity designer and stylist has sent a message to her critics and haters over her Christmas outfit.

Kemi Filani reported that the designer was back in the news again after she ditched the usual pajamas for Christmas shoots and opted for a more creative and out-of-the-box outfit. The wife of Segun Wealth made a dress and a cape from pepper and mop.

Sharing the inspiration behind her outfit, Toyin stated that she has been through a lot this year, which led her to put a lot of thought into her yearly Christmas shoot.

She revealed that her outfit was made up of 1000 pepper and 70 mops and she had a cut and the pepper entered her wound. She also admitted that the cape was heavier than she thought and her back couldn’t carry it for long but she tried her best.

Her outfit no doubt caused a stir online as while some praised her for her creativity, others bashed her.

Reacting to the criticisms, Toyin told her haters to jump off a cliff as she is the King of Fashion.

She noted how someone asked her if it was real pepper, as she made a mockery of them. She made it known that the pepper was real while adding that fashion is pain.

“The name is King of Fashion.
If you don’t like it,
Go and jump off a cliff.
Someone asked if it’s real pepper.
If it’s not then what is this?
Don’t worry I will show you my skin soon.
The pepper was peppering.
I know I make it look easy,
But it’s hell,
Fashion is pain”.

This isn’t the first time, the mother of three is turning heads with her Christmas outfits.

Last year Christmas, Toyin Lawani had turned herself into a Christmas tree because she believed everyone needed her in their home.

In 2021, Toyin had turned herself into boxes for Christmas.

To prove further why she is the Queen of all Queens, Lawani for her 41st birthday depicted the current situation in Nigeria.

The celebrity go-to stylist wore a symbolic masterpiece dress made of silver spoons and pots in her birthday shoot.

Explaining the meaning behind the unusual outfit, Toyin Lawani revealed that the spoon represents the unity of our beautiful people, the silver pot represents a new nation, the black pot represents our will to give whatever it takes and the plate represents children who are starving.
