Pa Reuben Fasoranti, a leader of the Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has lamented over the state of insecurity in the country following the death of his daughter.
His daughter Mrs Funke Olakunrin was murdered by an armed gang on July 12 along Kajola-Ore road, Ondo State.
A video obtained by Dailypost shows Pa Fasoranti in tears lamenting how Fulani herdsmen have taken over farms across the nation and scaring people away.
“May God continue to protect us because we are at war. When we go to the farm we meet them (herdsmen) there; that even scares us. We cannot go to our fathers’ land again.
“If we plant crops, they (herdsmen) won’t allow it be. So we must continue to pray and may God continue to answer our prayers.”
He made this known on Sunday when former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel paid him a visit.
Meanwhile, an assistant to President Buhari, Femi Adeshina revealed that the president was on phone with Pa Fasoranti over the death of his daughter assuring that “security agencies would spare no effort to apprehend the culprits, and bring them to justice”.
