John Joseph Hayab, Vice Chairman of Northern CAN, Reverend, has reacted to the suspension of the establishment of Ruga settlement by the Federal Government.
President Buhari few days ago announced the suspension after it faced several criticisms from Nigerians who saw it as an attempted at land-grabbing for the Fulanis and also an Islamization agenda.
The plan by FG for Ruga settlement was to established it in 36 states of the federation. They already had 11 pilot states for the establishment before the suspension was announced.

“Following the announcement of suspension of the policy by the Federal Government, it has become pertinent for me, as Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum to clarify on the true position of things to calm frayed nerves,” he said.
