2. Femi Gbajabiamila has been voted in as the speaker of the 9th National Assembly (House Of Representatives). Femi secured massive votes in a keenly contested election to defeat Honorable Bago. Femi Gbajabiamila secured 281 votes while Hon. Bago his major contender secured 76 votes as 358 members-elect voted with one invalid vote.
