Below are first pictures of Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a Manchester United shirt. The 21-year old who joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace on a £50m deal will be announced today as the club’s new player.
He got signed as replacement for right-back Antonio Valencia who exits the club after a ten year stay.
His signing is seen by Charlie Adam as Manchester United taking the footsteps of City rivals Manchester City in investing in young British talents.
Adam spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live Sport: “Everybody said John Stones too expensive at £50million, Raheem Sterling £50million too expensive, Kyle Walker £50million too expensive.
“They’re going to get 10 years at Man City out of them.
“Coming eight to 10 years’ time, Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s still at Man United, they’ll be saying, ‘Well that was cheap wasn’t it?’
“For me as everybody said it’s £50m but in the long term, if he stays there a long time, it’s cheap.
“He’s the next one in line [at right-back] after Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“He was probably unlucky not to be in the Nations League squad because of his performances last year. He’s the next product that England have got.
“United want to go young and build for the future like Man City have done in the last previous years”.
