This is a sad day for students of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, State as one of them, Ogechi, who is in final year and one other person were killed by a speeding Tipper that rammed into a tricycle.
The ugly incident that claimed lives happened when the Tipper loaded with sand was trying to overtake another Tipper, this morning, in front of the St Peter Catholic Church, Oko.
The tricycle driver and one other passenger, however, survived with serious injuries. The driver of the Tipper was said to have fled immediately the incident occurred.
According to what a student of Oko Poly Chioma Muoneke, KemifilaniNews, this is a regular incident around the school bus-stops as trucks and tippers are always on high speed.
‘This is not the first time, such accident is happening. Tippers are always on speed on this particular road trying to overtake each other. Especially at Oko roundabout. It is always a fatal one whenver is happens.
