A new professor by name Prof. Charles Igwe has emerged the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
This reportedly came after a final selection exercise conducted by the University’s Governing Council, today, Thursday.
Professor Igwe, until his appointment was the Deputy Vice-chancellor Administration. He will take over from the outgoing vice chancellor, Professor Benjamin Ozurumba.
According to a report, Professor Igwe, a close ally of the outgoing VC, scored 86.5 points, beating his closest rival, Prof James Ogbonna (DVC Academics), an indigene of Nsukka, who came second position with 85.6 points.
