A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has nullified the election victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke and declared Governor Gboyega Oyetola winner of the Osun State election which held last year.
A Tribunal which sat in Abuja weeks ago had declared Senator Ademola Adeleke winner of the election, but Governor Gboyega Oyetola headed for the court of Appeal.
The Court of Appeal judgment which was delivered by Justice Hannatu Sankey declared that the proceedings of the Tribunal was a “faulty composition”.
Four justices of the five-man panel upheld the judgment thereby declaring Oyetola winner of the election.
This is coming few days after Senator Ademola Adeleke was arrested and arraigned in court over certificate forgery. He was however released the following day after a bail of N2million was issued.
