President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered his ministers to handover their portfolio on the 28th of May, which is a day to his swearing-in as president for a second term.
The directive was given on Wednesday by the president during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) valedictory session at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari noted that the valedictory FEC meeting was the last for the outgoing cabinet before the inauguration of his second term on the 29th of May.
He however advised that the ministers should continue working in their capacity until Tuesday 28th of May, 2019.
Buhari also used the opportunity to praise the ministers for serving the nation well in their contributions in the past three and half years.
