The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has just started collation of governorship election results in Rivers State..
Governor Nyesom Wike, who is the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Awara Biokpomabo, are the front runners in the race for the highest office in one of Nigeria’s oil-producing states.
INEC has paused the collation of results for the governorship election in Rivers state.
The commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Obo Effanga, announced that the electoral umpire would continue with the exercise at 10am on Wednesday.
