Presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), Professor Kingsley Moghalu, has expressed disappointment in Nigerian youth for the role they played in the held general elections.
Moghalu, who appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today, blamed the youth for their reticence during the election period as he counted on them for victory in the polls.
Moghalu expressed that young Nigerians can rarely back their words with action. He said, “The biggest disappointment was with the youths. The youth vote was absent. They make a lot of noise, they rant and rail but you will not see them on the voting day. And when they vote, they don’t vote in line with their rhetoric.”
Moghalu, who came 14th place in the presidential election, also announced in an interview with Arise News that he is withdrawing from partisan politics as according to him, “the elections are over.”
