Aisha, wife of the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari has revealed plans to establish a private university named after her husband.
Aisha Buhari made this known at a town hall meeting in Yola, organised by her in collaboration with Concerned Indigenes of Adamawa. According to the first lady, the university will be established in collaboration with partners from Sudan and Qatar.
She said at the meeting, “I cannot conclude without suggesting how we can complement the efforts of government in achieving some of its developmental goals.
“On this note, I would like to advocate for the establishment of Adamawa Development Trust Fund through which prioritised developmental projects can be financed and implemented”
It is not yet known where the university will be located.
