Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo held a closed door meeting with leaders of political parties, party stalwarts, and security chiefs in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Held at the President Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, the meeting had in attendance the state Chairman of the Action Democratic Party, Wale Egunleti, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Gboyega Isiaka, a zonal director of the Allied Peoples Movement Campaign Council in Ogun West, Chief Jide Ojuko and the state Caretaker Secretary of All Progressives Congress, Ayo Olubori President Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the public relations officer of the Ogun state police command and other security chiefs were also represent.
Although it is not yet known what was discussed at the meeting, it may be connected to the recent occurrences of party violence in the state.
The former president has been extremely vocal about his support for his former partner, Atiku Abubakar and his disapproval of President Muhammadu Buhari as the presidential election draws closer.
