President Muhammadu Buhari has emerged victorious in his polling unit at Daura.
Buhari who cast his vote at 8:30 reportedly defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar in his Sarkin Yara polling unit with a ‘wide margin’.
The APC polled in 523 while the PDP polled in 3 votes.
Buhari’s media aide, Bashir Ahmaad confirmed this in a post on his verified Twitter page
He wrote: “President Buhari wins his Sarkin Yara polling unit with a ‘wide margin’.
“APC = 523, PDP = 03 Moving onto the NextLevel!
The major presidential contenders are incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Demographic Party (PDP), Prof. Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC).
For the National Assembly elections, a total of 1,904 are vying for 109 Senatorial seats, while 4,680 candidates are competing for the 360 seats in the House of Representatives.
