Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri has defended Cristiano Ronaldo in the wake of their 2-0 away defeat to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
Late goals from Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin, gave Atletico a deserved win.
Ronaldo wasn’t at his best on the night and had just one shot on target. Godin’s goal deflected in off him in the 83rd minute of the game.
However, Allegri believes Ronaldo had a good game on the night.
“Ronaldo played a good game.
“He is confident with these kinds of matches. He was not bad at all.
“We missed all the second half as a team. And this match will be useful looking forward to the second leg,” Allegri told a news conference.
