Several people have been confirmed dead following an attack by terrorists at DusitD2, an upscale hotel complex in Nairobi, Kenya, today, Tuesday, January’s 15, 2019.
According to the reports, the attack had people fleeing in panic as explosions and heavy gunfire rang through the neighborhood.
Instablog9ja reports that the Al-Shabab, the Somalia-based extremist group responsible for the 2013 Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi that left 67 people dead, have claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack saw several vehicles burnt while people were being rushed, some carried, from the scene.
Photos from the scene of the attack show people taking cover behind cars, screaming while others appeared to take cover behind fountains and other parts of the outdoor complex.
