Crystal Palace defeated Tottenham Hotspur to send them out of the FA Cup.
The Eagles compounded Spurs woes by inflicting a 2-0 defeat on them after losing the Carabao semi final against Chelsea on Thursday.
Tottenham were without Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Son Heung Min.
Crystal Palace took the lead against the run of play in the 9th minute courtesy of Connor Wickham who tapped in Schlupp’s cross.
Townsend increased Palace’s lead in the 34th minute from the spot after Peter Kyle-Walker handled the ball in the box.
Tottenham will have to wait to win their first trophy under Mauricio Pochetinno and the club first trophy since 2008.
