Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has hailed Eden Hazard’s individual qualities but he insists that the Belgian is not a leader.
Sarri said after the loss to Arsenal that it appears that the Chelsea players are difficult to motivate and he was quizzed on the statement in the pre-match conference ahead of the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi final at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
” He is more of an individual player than a leader, he is very important to us because he is a great player, he can win a match in one minute sometimes one minute but at this moment he is not a leader ”
Hazard has been a ray of light in the Chelsea team this season despite being linked with a move to Real Madrid he has outshined his teammates
Jarmaine Jenas even said the Belgian has outgrown the Club.
Hazard and Sarri will be hoping to overturn a 1-0 deficit against injury ravaged Tottenham on Thursday.
