The issue of reaching a conclusion over the minimum wage to be paid to civil servants in Nigeria might be coming to an end today as an emergency meeting is set to hold in Abuja, tonight
According to reports, the Nigerian governors are to meet in a Governor’s forum over the issue of minimum wage.
It was gathered that the meeting will be presided over by the Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, and will take a definite stand on the amount the governors will be able to pay as minimum wage to avert a strike by the organised labour.
Recall that earlier today, labour had warned the government not to propose anything less than the N30,000 they initially agreed on, otherwise the industrial action that was previously planned will take effect.
