Starboy, Wizkid has been honored by the governor of the State of Minnesota in the United States for being the first African to sell out its Skyway Theatre.
Wizkid held a concert at there on Saturday, October 6 and made history by selling out the venue. This comes after he became the first Nigerian to sell out the O2 and Royal Albert venues in London, United Kingdom.
Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton described the starboy as “one of the most influential artists of our time”.
Beyonce is the only other artiste who has received this distinction from the State of Minnesota.
