Brazil striker, Neymar has admitted that he is happy Lionel Messi will not participate when they clash with Argentina on Tuesday.
The game which is to hold in Saudi Arabia will see the absence of the Barcelona star who has been missing for the second successive set of international games Argentina has played.
This fuels speculation that he might be retiring from International football soon.
Reacting to the absence, Neymar expressed gladness due to the advantage it will give Brazil, but he feels it will be a sad one for football lovers.
“For those who love football, having Messi out of a game like this is bad. But for us it’s good.
“We never underestimate Argentina’s quality, the players they have in their squad.
“Argentina have Dybala, who is a player that I really like, so we have to be switched on.
“It’s a very difficult game. We will have to do our job and it’s always good to play them. There are no favourites,” Neymar told a pre-match news conference.
