Cab hailing app, Taxify has debunked accusations made by a lady who claimed on Saturday that she was robbed and beaten by one of its drivers.
In a statement released by Taxify today, the affected lady may have been involved in an unrelated incident but tried to wrap it around the company. Taxify says contrary to her claims, the last time the lady requested a ride on the app was four days ago, October 23, 2018.
Taxify wrote, “While we are deeply saddened to hear about what happened, all information provided to us and corroborated by multiple parties shows that while it is obvious that she was assaulted, no Taxify driver partner was involved”.
Recall that the victim was picked up in Victoria Island by an Instagram user, @adebolaisaac who found her in her bloodied state and shared photos and a video on Instagram.
