Barcelona star, Lionel Messi has set two new records after the Catalan Giants knocked PSV Eindhoven 4-0. The Argentine got a hat trick: a beautiful free-kick in the first half and two goals in the second half.
That was his eighth hat-trick in the Champions League.
Ousmane Dembele’s effort also made the night a wonderful one for Barcelona as they played their first Group B game.
The 31st minute free-kick from Messi made him the second player in history to score in 14 consecutive Champions League seasons. He now shares the record with former Real Madrid striker Raul.
