Tennis champion, Serena Williams who lost to 20-year-old, Naomi Osaka over the weekend has now shared her first photo after the defeat.
Serena Williams was fined $17,000 for three code violations at Saturday’s US Open Final that saw her lose to the 20-year-old.
In the photo in which she looked unbothered about the recent happenings, Serena is pictured posing with her adorable daughter, Olympia as they relax on a couch.
The US Open levied fines of $4,000 for the coaching violation, $3,000 for racket abuse and $10,000 for the verbal abuse, against Williams.
The controversy-laden game saw Williams penalised more than once by umpire Carlos Ramos. Williams was accused of receiving illegal coaching through hand signals from her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou during the game.
Williams denied the accusation, as she consistently spoke to Ramos demanding an apology.
She went ahead to call Ramos a “thief” after he handed her a full game penalty for smashing her racket.
Williams has been cheered by many for standing up against sexism.
