CSKA Moscow have announced that their Nigerian striker, Aaron Samuel has agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
The Russian club did not give any reason for the premature ending of their two years of relationship.
“Nigerian striker Aaron Olanare left the Army club today by mutual agreement. We wish Aaron all the best in his future career,” According to the club Twitter handle.
Aaron Samuel joined CSKA Moscow in 2016 on loan from Chinese club, Guangzhou R&F, he scored on his debut but he got injured in the same match and he was ruled out for several months.
In January 2017 Samuel signed a permanent deal with the Russian club when he put pen to paper on a four and half year contract.
Aaron Samuel failed to nail down a regular place in the team after recovering from the knee injury, he spent the second half of last season on loan with Amkar Perm
Aaron Samuel received his first call-up for Nigeria national football team by Stephen Keshi to play against Sudan in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
On 11 October 2014, he made his debut for the Super Eagles in a 1–0 away defeat against Sudan, coming on as a substitute for Nosa Igiebor in the 47th minute.
On 15 October 2014, Samuel scored his first goal in a 3–1 home victory against Sudan.
