Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci has returned to Juventus after a year away from the club with rivals AC Milan.
The 31-year-old central defender made the return as part of a deal that saw striker Gonzalo Higuain head the other way to enable him return to Serie A champions.
The Turin club is hoping to make a strong statement in Europe haven signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. The signing of the Portuguese meant there won’t be room for Gonzalo Higuain who was also heavily linked with Chelsea.
The signing was announced by Juventus on Thursday evening with a photo of Bonucci in the famous Juventus black-and-white with the messsage: ‘Welcome back, Bonucci.’
