Former AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini has been appointed as the director of strategic development by the Italian Club.
Maldini who made 902 appearances for AC Milan is regarded as one of the greatest players to represent the Rossoneri, his jersey number was retired due to his service to the club where he spent his entire career.
He won seven Serie A titles, five Champions Leagues and a Coppa Italia in his 25-year playing career.
AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni said: “There are no words to describe what Paolo Maldini represents for Milan.
“It was a privilege to see him play and win countless trophies in the field. I am happy and honored to work with him in his new role.”
Maldini’s appointment came just a week after Milan appointed former player Leonardo as their General Manager.
