The Nigerian Police force has reacted to reports that some mobile policemen went on a protest which disrupted movement in Maiduguri over six months unpaid salary. Public Relations Officer of the police force, Jimoh Moshood, in an interview with NTA few moments ago stated that ‘no Policeman protested in Borno or anywhere in the country. Salary is being paid as at when due but some PMF personnel in Maiduguri only went to make enquiry on their allowances’.
Below are pictures showing mobile policemen in Borno state protesting over six months unpaid allowances.
The officers who were posted to the state in January this year to prosecute the war against Boko Haram, said they haven’t been paid their allowances.
