Nollywood actor, Ramsey Nouah has reacted to the killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen in Plateau state which took about 86 lives with 50 house burnt. In a social media post, Ramsey Nouah wondered if the continuous killings is deliberately tolerated by the country’s security authorities for political reasons.
Ramsey Nouah wrote:
”This is sad and honestly becoming unbearable… How long shall we continue?.. It’s beginning to look like a deliberate act by our security to neglect this issue for political reasons. Human sacrifices for political goals???.. What has the world become???..the height of dehumanization….This is heart wrenching.”
The massacre which affected place in Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state, has also drawn the reaction of Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District. In a tweet, the senator pointed out how the political class were busy dancing and singing at the Eagles Square while innocent lives were being slaughtered in Plateau state.
“While governors danced and sang at Eagle Square, the lives of the governed were being wasted. In Nigeria today, the life of the poor is cheaper than peanuts and Gala. We have become a nation in perpetual mourning and funeral service.
Enough blood has been spilled in Nigeria to touch the conscience of people in power, if at all humanity matters.”
