A Nigerian lady has been banned for life from entering into the United States of America for presenting a fake visa and other fake documents at the US Embassy.
24 year old lady identified as Vivian is an accountant by profession planned to relocate to the United States with the assistance of her uncle.It was gathered that Vivian was convinced by her uncle, Ugochukwu, to relocate to the US, but when she got to the US Embassy, it was discovered that all her documents were fake.
New Telegraph reports that Vivian had a fake UBA bank statement and United Bank of Africa (UBA) identity card,claiming to be an employee at the bank, however oddly, she had never worked in any UBA branch in her life.
The passport she presented to the white officials depicted a previous travel history, which was supposed to make her attempt at getting American Visa a lot easier.The travel history stamps on her passport showed that she had traveled out of Nigeria to many countries, including Germany. When approached with some questions about some of the countries she claimed to have visited were put across to her, she couldn’t give any coherent answer and evidences of her travel to those countries she mentioned.
The Imo State University graduate was promptly arrested and handed over to detectives attached to the Police Special Fraud Unit (SFU) where she promised to assist investigators to locate her uncle who is on the run, unbending her claims that he prepared everything for her collected N150,000 as payment.
She was however handed a lifetime ban by the Embassy and will also be prosecuted by the appropriate authorities for impersonation and drafting of fraudulent document for criminal purposes.
