Below are pictures showing the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam El Rufai kneeling down before former president Olusegun Obasanjo, former vice president Atiku Abubakar and incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari. The pictures were shared by PDP’s director of new media, Deji Adeyanju in a tweet in which he called the governor ”an unrepentant betrayal”.
With this tweet, Deji attempts to bring to the notice of the public how the governor is never stable in terms of loyalty but is ever eager to make a fine loyal showing when in public. Recently, his son was seen on twitter berating Obasanjo after the latter wrote a letter to Buhari advicing him to jettison any idea of seeking re-election in 2019. Many saw the tweet as the hand of Esau but the voice of Jacob, calling attentions to what they termed a lack of appreciation of the privileged the governor enjoyed when he served under Obasanjo as FCT minister.
After Atiku exited the ruling APC to camp with PDP, the governor’s reaction was sorted when he interviewed with premiumtimes. He said,
”I have heard about what the former Vice President said about leaving the APC. We knew he was going to leave in December but he has left in November which is good because the earlier he leaves for where he belongs, the better. He has changed political parties a few times, there is nothing surprising. Before the 2019 elections if situation changes and he thinks he can get the ticket in 2019 he will come back. That is what he has done a few times”.
Few days ago, President Muhammadu Buhari made his 12th visit to Kaduna State in 3 years where he was hosted by El Rufai. Pictures shared showed the governor kneeling in his usual manner to welcome the president to the State.
