This will be a December to remember for residents of the Lagos State Rehabilitation and Training Center in Owutu-Ikorodu, where team #ProjectDDD (Donation Drive for December) will taking donations on Saturday, 10th December.
The 2016 edition of Project is targeted at contributing to the mental development of adults and children (in particular) who live in the centre. Other items to be given include clothes, shoes and food.
#ProjectDDD was birthed five years ago by a group of young Nigerian professionals who wish to contribute their quota in assisting the less privileged.
Goals have been scored for each year, since the launch of the initiative in 2012
2012 – Charity event for three Lagos-based orphanages, held at the Ovie Brume Foundation, V.I, Lagos.
2013 – Visit to Ajegunle, where about 1000 people benefited – food stuff, clothes, house hold items & a lots more.
2014 – Home makeover for two selected families, Christmas goodies, provisions & food stuff, assisted support towards business creation.
2015 – Skill training with certificates for about 50 selected people in Makoko and distribution of relief items to 500 residents.
2016 – The train heads to Lagos State Rehabilitation and Training Center in Owutu-Ikorodu. Let’s do this together!
This is a clarion call for kind hearted Nigerians to participate this year.
Donations in form of books (fiction and non-fiction, motivational, educational, How To Books), story books for ages 1 -16, adult books, stationeries & toys will be appreciated. Other items needed are clothes, shoes (new or old but in good condition), food stuff e.t.c
