A few months ago we brought you the inspiring story of Ayo Megbope, who turned a N1000 MoiMoi into a multimillionaire business (HERE).
Well she just shared this message on her Facebook page and we just had to share it here too 🙂
I looked at him as he walked away and stood in utter disbelief that
just over three decades ago, I was ready to mortgage everything to have
him. He was my teenage crush. Every girl in class wanted to be
associated with him. Infact, I remember stealing my father’s money
just to be able to buy him a gift hoping to win his heart!
I
looked up and said a deep thank you to God as he walked away. My three
decades ago “heart throb! ” . It took a while to even recognise him
until he took me down the torturous
memory lane of my foolishness! To think that at a time in my life, he
was the desire and longing of my heart, my soul, my all! . I’m almost
sure that my desperation for his attention then must have contributed to
my failure in school!
Where would I have been if I had my way then? I even prayed about
it!!!! What if my parents had not with the rod of correction and
unforgettable warnings snapped me out of my folly? How on earth would
this guy have fitted into my life today? Infact, the life I’m living
now could not have existed.
What is it that you’re desperately
longing for today that appears to be evading you?
Is it a business
opportunity? Is it a travel plan? A relationship? A possession, or even
a position? God knows the end from the beginning. That present desire
just might not fit onto the beautiful picture God has painted of your
future.
Proverbs 3:5 , Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge
him,and he shall direct thy path. May God extinguish every desire that
does not fit into His perfect plan for our lives in Jesus name.
