Happily married Comedian Yaw has learnt his voice to the ongoing online debate on marriage and being a baby mama. It all started a few days ago when Toyin Aimakhu threw a sub at single baby-mamas (HERE) saying “Don’t let sex turn you into a mother until love turns you into a wife.”
Her fellow actress and single mum of two, Adunni Ade responded (HERE) by saying “Women are not defined by their marital status…a lot of single parent (male or female) do a great job providing
for themselves and children than you who sits in a miserable, horrible,
heartbreaking relationship. We are not to be defined by our
relationship status! Your dedication, hard work, persistence to your
existence in this world should be your focus. Just because a lot of us
don’t share our life story to the public does not mean we are not
survivors…”
Well popular OAP and comedian Yaw in an exclusive chat with Kemi Filani Blog, had this to say:
Well, if you think being married would make you a better person, please
look well before you do so.
A lot of people who get married these day,
after all the Asoebis and exotic weddings, then they break-up.
They
sell very expensive Aso-ebi and painfully, when they break up, they
wont refund our money for the Aso-ebi. ‘ e dey pain me’. They should
always return the money when the marriage ends.
Then
one very important thing is that they should learn to do their things
on low key.
They should know that they are already on the limelight and
people are looking at them from all angles. If you cough, they will
laugh.
The
worse part is that, nowadays, every family issue they have, they write
on social media. They don’t know that some people are happier seeing
them go through problems. They assume that people feel pity for them,
not at all. They are happy seeing and reading about your downfall.
They should stop all those things, it doesn’t pay and takes them to nowhere.
Watch out for our full interview with him tomorrow!
