A University of Lagos student, Ayodele Daniel Dada, has emerged the
best graduating student of the 2014/2015 set, graduating with a perfect
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.00 from the department of
Psychology.
According to the the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rahamon Bello, who
made the disclosure during a pre-convocation press conference, on
Wednesday, Ayodele scored an A in all the courses he took during his
stay as a student.
With this feat, Ayodele has set an unprecedented record at the higher
institution which is reputed as one of the best in the country.
The Vice Chancellor said that 10,907 students will be graduating at the convocation ceremony slated for the 3rd of March, 2016.
“Out of the first degree graduating students, a total of 178 passed
in the first class division, while 1,617 passed in the second class
upper division.”
“Also, 2,496 are in second class lower degree, 884 in third class,
274 in unclassified degrees in Medical Sciences and Pharmacy, just as 50
students had pass degree. Besides, the University will graduate a total
of 71 students with the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in various
disciplines.”
