I was not surprised with the statements of one of the notorious armed
robbers, saying bank officials leak necessary information to them before
they strike each of the banks they had visited.
The Yorubas say that the enemies outside would not succeed without the collaboration of the enemies within.
I have to let the world know.
Hoping
that all the media l use will give utmost publicity to this fraudulent
practice perpetrated by bank officials and the ‘419’ers.
Between 22nd
December,2015 and 25th January 2016 I received 4 text messages
purported to be from my bank saying my BVN was not done.
The contents of the text messages remain the same, but different in phone numbers they used and time.
‘Dear
Customer, Due to the New BVN policy as directed by CBN, Your ATM has
just been Deactivated, to reactivate, kindly call:Customer Care on
………….. Thanks’
I want to list the four numbers out. If
they think l lie against them, let them say it out. It can be
investigated by the Police so as to unearth the crooks among us.
1. 08169702180
2. 09032946745
3. 07064662787
4. 08103100272
However, the question is how did they know my bank phone numbers?
I have all the networks for my use.
But l specifically use two of them for bank transactions.
One phone number I use to get alert and the other to make online transfer.
To my dismay, the four text messages l received appeared on only these two bank phones numbers.
Why didn’t they appear on the other networks so that we think they just picked the numbers randomly ?
And it is the bank l have some money.
Thank God, l am among the early customers to register for the BVN.
My ATM cards are not in anyway blocked.
I just want to draw the attention of bank customers to this ploy of these bank ‘Thieves ‘.
I did not call the phone numbers back as instructed. Only God knows what would be awaiting me if l had done as l was told.
Bank Customers, be wiser.
