Opeyemi Adejoro, the wife of Dr. Adewale Adejoro, an Ebola
survivor, has given birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl at First
Consultant Medical Centre, Lagos.
The baby was born at 7.24pm on Tuesday, 1st December 2015.
First Consultant is the hospital where Patrick Sawyer, the
Liberian who brought the Ebola virus disease into Nigeria, was attended
to.
Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri announced the birth of the baby girl on Thursday.
Ohiaeri said: “The baby girl, weighing 3kg at birth (its placenta
450g), a product of a term gestation was delivered following strict
guidelines and recommendations from the Centre for Disease Control
(CDC), USA, through the pre-natal and delivery stages.”
Dr Ada Igonoh of the First Consultant Medical Centre, also recently took delivery of a baby girl in the United States.
