Lord, l will give You thanks.
For what You did for me.
No earthly king could have done it for me.
Only You, only You.
I was going to Abeokuta from my village in one of the ljebu towns around the Shagamu-ljebu Ode expressway.
Because
of the inadequate fare with me (l so thought), l decided to take a
‘SOOLE’ vehicle-the Yoruba term for almost a free ride car or bus that
does not take off from the motor Park.l wanted to take this to the main
expressway where l would get another going to Abeokuta. All attempt to
save cost.

As l was standing by the roadside waiting for any available cab, a man came around in his sleek car.
As
l got inside and sat on the passenger seat beside him, the hair on my
head rose. My head got swollen. I saw before me charms of different
sorts on the dashboard.l tried to look behind me, l saw the same thing,
even on the floor of the car.

There was also a short horn tied with whatever..
Immediately, l made as if l needed to get down, telling the man l left
something important at home that l had to go and take with me.
You know what he said?
‘You would get it tomorrow now. There is always another day’.
Thank God, there has been several days, many days after the episode.
I could not but be alert and be prayerful.
What could l say now apart from just calling on the Blood of Jesus.
Who sent me in the first instance?
I
had wanted to save some money on the trip, but then , at that moment,
my life l had to save. What is money? It did not matter any more.

The
man tried hard to bring me into some discussion with him. Me in the
lion’s den? Who born my monkey? To leave off my cry to God and relax to
destruction? No way.

God was merciful to me.l bless HIS name.
When we got to. Shagamu junction , l got down, but not without some experience.
The man said to me in my dialect, ‘You are not ordinary’.
By that time, l was feeling dizzy. I could not stand by myself. I had to lean on the vehicle around there for about 30minutes.
Some
people were around , as passengers or whatever. They did not understand
the happenings..Thank God from there l managed to find my way to
Abeokuta, to my people.
