In a move to ensure that his members pick up their Permanent Voter
Cards (PVCs), Rev. Uma Ukpai of the Victory Cathedral Fellowship Center
in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, has announced that communion would not be served to
those who don’t have theirs.
Rev. Ukpai said this during a church service, stating that it was
unpatriotic for any eligible Nigerian voter, not to be part of the
electoral process.
The man of God also called on other Nigerians to use the extension in
the election dates, to pick up their PVCs, to enable them vote for
their leaders.
“The 2015 general election is too important for a Nigerian of voting
age not to participate in electing their political leaders for the next
four years,” Ukpai said.
“If you are a true member of this fellowship and you have not
collected your PVC, know that you will not partake in our communion
service.
“We must take this election serious because we must rise up and protect our future.”
