Now, Nigerians are feeling the pulse of electioneering. It is getting
more interesting.
The two leading presidential candidates are really
slogging it out with their campaigns and schemes.
What they have failed to tell Nigerians is what they have in store for the poor.
Because
right now, one can see divide and rule. One of the going cap in hand to
ask the leaders of organization-be it spiritual, economical, financial etc.
The party is now sending such leaders to their people. Why can they not do it by themselves?
Let them come out and tell us the benefits the majority will get from their government.
Which of them can tackle the problem of PHCN?
Those who are gaining from this do not leave the comfort zone of their house to go and vote.
The masses that do the voting are only consulted and visited every 4 years.
I remember 2011, my entire family went to vote Jonathan on three points.
He is a Christian so he will operate in the fear of God. He would love all men and ease pain of the common man.
Secondly,
he is learned so educational system would be revisited. But it grew
worse. Despite the establishment of additional universities.
We believe for someone who had been in the system, he would know how to play the politics.
Thirdly,
the issue of his being prevented from getting to the seat in Aso Rock
when Yar Adua was sick (The Save Nigeria Group had to intervene) coupled
with the fact that he motivated us about life that if God could raise
someone like him without shoes, HE could do the same for ‘you’
I remember vividly how l trekked home under the scorching sun after the voting exercise. I now asked myself what did l gain?
If Jonathan helped some people, it would be selectful few.
In periods like this, your work should speak for you thereby making your speech few.
A lesson to all politicians. Let them start from the grassroots ever before the year of election.
The last minute bait can not change the mind of people except those they have turned beggars with their actions and inactions.
