I no want designer, I no want Ferrari….I want a house partly made of
gold in Dubai, a fat bank account each for our unborn children and one
for me and all your love, have I asked for too much?
You know how much we love LOVE stories on this blog :).
A beautiful bride, Okin, getting hooked on the 26th of this month has just shared her story and pre-wedding photos with us…the lovely couple met in 2008, got engaged five years later and would become ONE in a few days time!
Love story (From the excited soon-to-be-bride)
“In
Sept 2008, my mum went to stay with my sister that just had a babu, so I
usually sleep at my best friend’s, there is this guy she talks to at
night…every night(thanks to xtra cool days), she claims he’s her new
boyfriend’s best friend which I didn’t believe cause I wonder what
happened to the boyfriend, one night I got angry at the way she was
shouting and laughing in the dead of the night and asked if the person
she talks to is so jobless that they talk every night, she gave me the
phone to ask him….trust me(omo ibadan) I abused the guy and called him
all sorts of names, then the following day he asked to talk to me
again(guess he enjoyed it) and again and again, then we became
inseparable. One day he came looking for me from Lagos and here is the
result of the visit”
Proposal story:
“I
work in a media house thus, I have tight schedule, for me, it’s
usually from home to work and church, he works outside town so we
hardly see. After 5 years of dating, we were going to celebrate
valentine together for the 1st time, so when I knew he was going to be
in town, I made plans to sneak out of work so I can at least enjoy my
love life for once, a day to val, he started forming busy I almost got
angry cos I had been looking forward to val only for him to start “Mr
busy” kindda attitude, as early as 6am on val’s day, he came to pick me,
he asked me not to bother dressing up that I’ll do later, so I wore a
pair of shorts n shirt, he drove all the way off the hustle and bustle
of town to erin-ijesha waterfalls(oh how I love such natural places!), I
was dazed at the crowd, it was such a sight to behold. So we started
climbing the hills from stage one to stage six, I was so tired wanted to
turn back at the 5th stage but he asked me to please let’s go one more
stage, so we went, it was plain rock and bushy, we sat for a while and
rested, then I turned to see the way leading to the last stage, on
turning back, I saw about 15 friends of ours all came out from the bush
with flowers, him on his knee with a ring, I was dumbfounded,i couldn’t
hold back the tears, then he popped the question….what do you expect? I
said yes sharply and that was the beginning of the plans to live
happily ever after.”
There you have it!
Happiness in the air, congratulations dearies, we are patiently waiting for the day….whoop!
