No fewer than 8 teenage girls have been abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists, 11112014/05/06/boko-haram-another-8-teenage-girls-abducted-borno/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Dailypost reports.
The girls aged between 12 to 15 were abducted in Warabe village of Gwoza Local government Area of Borno State.
The terrorists group have reportedly stepped up attacks in the state overnight, sacking police and army checkpoints in Gamboru Ngala and Shanni near the Nigerian/Camerounian border.
raided Waranbe village in Gwoza area of the state, taking over all the
highways leading to there and according to the residents of the area who
said the sect currently controls the entire area around Gwoza.
The gunmen also carted away foodstuff and livestocks belonging to the villagers before fleeing into the bush.
A source told DailyPost that, “a group of terrorists invaded Warabe
village on Sunday night, and abducted 8 of our teenage girls before
carting away our foodstuffs and livestock.
“As I am talking to you know, I have ran to Gwoza council headquarters for safety”.
He pointed out that the gunmen numbering over 20, armed with AK47
rifles did not kill anybody, but scared parents before abducting the
teenage girls in their watchful eyes.
It was gathered that they fled towards the hilly border areas between Gwoza and Cameron Republic.
