I am not a fan of Omoni Oboli, honestly I really don’t think she’s a good actress but I respect the fact that she’s one of the nollywood actresses with a happy marriage (they have been married for 13 years) plus I love how she balances her career, work and family. And her acting in the “Brother’s Keeper’ movie was quite cool….
“I met Nnamdi (her husband) when I first started acting in Lagos in 1996,
but just for about a few minutes. He later found me four years later in
my final year and we started dating. He proposed to me two weeks into
our relationship and the rest is history. There’s a great love story
there somewhere. (Laughs) He must have rocked my world to the point of
me saying yes, because I was just 21 years old! Many felt I was too
young, but I thank God that their opinion didn’t sway my decision. ” Omoni always says in her interviews.
Most times when she grants interviews she keep showering praises on her husband and sometimes I feel her responses are too good to be true but I found out yesternight that they can almost not do without each other for real!
Apart from the fact they look like siblings and smile the same way, you can feel their love!
They were together all through the red carpet and premiere of the much-talked about “Brother’s keeper” movie except for when fans or paparazzi bump into them and politely steal Omoni away for some “famzing or photos”.
Omoni will gladly call her hubby (I really can’t place the ‘Ibo name’ she calls him but I think it’ll pass for “mine or my love”), hand him her glass of wine, purse or blackberry bold 5 or so (I’m not too sure of the model) and he’ll smile and hold it for her with all joy.
The best part was when she said “…let’s start going into the hall now so we can get better seats”….
Fast forward to some minutes later, I was seated in the hall and they came in with three other men, they scanned the hall for a space and Omoni pointed at my direction (there were five vacant seats in the row ahead of mine) but her hubby asked them to move forward…he wanted the front seat, yet Omoni preferred where she pointed at “Nah, there are five seats there, that area is fine” she repeated in a polite and sweet tone and they made for the seats.
It actually felt so good watching them dot on each other.
Yeah, they held hands at some points, whispered to each other, laughed etc…oh the best part was the “sexual scenes in the movie – the several scenes were Majid Michel and Omoni kissed hungrily and engaged in the sexual acts” I couldn’t see his facial expression though but you can almost tell that he wasn’t moved…I think he smiled at one or two of the scenes, lol.
While leaving the hall, he was right behind his wifey to protect her peradventure she slipped…the likes of Desmond Elliot even joked about some of the scenes and all he did was smile…that’s the spirit man…so I vote them as my KFB celebrity couple of the year, me loves them ha-lotta.
P.S: I personally think Moyo Lawal and Yvonne Jegede are the fake-est fast -rising celebrities ever- nah, they aren’t even celebs yet…they didn’t stop hopping from spot to spot for interviews and paparazzi photos…and forming “tush”…ugh! oh, I’m starting to talk too much, would bring you the complete movie review next Friday…and thanks for reading my rants #Okbye…:)
