Hi guys, yeah, I know, I have been unavoidably offline. I am embarking on this very long journey and just had the chance to work with my system.
I’m going via train to the North (never been there) – it’s my first time taking one (train) and so far it’s been good – though we had to stop at a particular station for over two hours now (heard another train derailed a few kilometres away from ours and without it been fixed, ours will not be able to pass through the railway line or so…imagine!!!).
Anyways, while surfing the web to find what gists i have missed so far, I stumbled on a certain tweet by Bishop TD Jakes where he explained how Tyler Perry laid his hands on him during church service on the 1st of September – it caught my attention and I just had to share.
So here goes the story:
On Sunday, Tyler Perry was in Dallas, TX attending Bishop Jakes’ Mega-fest and during the service, the holy spirit ministered to Tyler Perry.
Adhering to the instruction of the holy spirit, Tyler Perry walked to the altar, took the mic and delivered the message to the congregation.
He announced that he was moved to donate
$1 million dollars to Jakes’ youth center.
“God I don’t know what you’re doing but I heard your voice.”
Of course, the crowd erupted in shouts and applause and Perry started speaking in tongues before he continued sharing.
“When you hear the voice of God you move. Don’t worry
about what nobody says to you. Don’t worry about what it looks like.
Don’t worry about your enemy. Don’t worry about your hater. He will
bless you. He will lift you…Sometimes you spend too much time worrying about
your haters. You spend too much time worrying about people talking about
you. But what you need to understand is that the Bible says in order
for you to be blessed, your haters have to be present. The book of
Psalms says he prepareth a table for me in the presence of my enemies.
So in order for me to eat, they have to be present.”
After that Perry began praying for Jakes. As he was asking God to
keep his anointing on Jakes, Perry was walking toward him until he
eventually placed his hands on the top of his head.
The action immediately sparked up some controversy as many claimed that it was wrong for Tyler Perry to lay his hands on a man of God; some even claimed that the reason why Bishop TD Jakes allowed Perry to lay his hands on his head is because of the “$1,000, 000” and there are those saying
Perry had no right to be up there because he’s a closeted homosexual who
makes his money dressing as a woman – madea.
The question now is, is it actually wrong for Tyler Perry to have done that after all he was led by the holy spirit to carry out the action?! Check out the video of Tyler Perry laying hands on T.D. Jakes HERE
