year 2017 is marching away faster than it marched in; and while some
people cannot really point at a real achievement or point at something
big they did in their career the whole of 2017 (or eleven months for the
optimists) some can boldly smile and say that 2017 was their year of
becoming… (well, not like Toke Makinwa the biggest ‘becomer’)
In the Nollywood scene, the year 2017 was the year of breaking
through and achieving goals for many of our actors. In fact, as we
speak, some have penned down the numbers 2.0.1.7 in huge inscriptions on
their walls as the year they came to be whom they are now.
Not
saying that the previous years were not good for them but only
establishing the fact that for these three stars the year 2017 has been a
great year!
Adesua Etomi:
For Adesua, this 31 year old star had many things going right for her
and sooner or later, she would have blown herself into great stardom but
somehow, fate catapulted her into that stardom sooner than we all
expected in the year 2017!
Two things made this happen so fast; her big role in the big movie
Wedding Party and her relationship and consequent engagement to one of
Nigeria’s most loved and eligible bachelors Banky W! If you haven’t seen
anything different about Adesua you should have definitely noticed how
she went from being mildly followed on IG to being followed greatly!
Toyin Abraham
Toyin Abraham:
With her mouth, this actress confessed that this year, the year 2017
was the year her life changed not just her name. From Toyin Aimakhu, to
Toyin Johnson, back to Aimakhu then to the big change or let’s call it
an overhaul: Toyin Abraham! She did not just change her name, she
changed her look got herself a stylist and made some cool millions
contrary to the dry bank account she ran last year! If the year 2017 has
some testifiers in Nollywood circle, Toyin Abraham would be the
forerunner.
Odunlade Adekola
Odunlade Adekola:
This hunk of an actor did not only make money, he became a graduate,
made friends in high places, and produced a Cinema movie! Not forgetting
his many endorsements. Odunlade Adekola has moved from being just the
‘Sunday Dagboru’ actor to being the most sought after male actor in the
industry! How did he do it? God! Yes ask him, he’ll tell you…
