Gov. Ambode Unveils Statue Of Fela In Lagos To Celebrate His 79th Posthumous Birthday. (Photos)

Yesterday, Sunday, October 15, 2017 which is Nigerian music legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s 79th posthumous birthday, the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode unveiled the Liberation Statue of the Afrobeat legend, at Allen Avenue Roundabout, Ikeja.

The governor then went on with his entourage to witness a command live performance by Femi Kuti at the New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja as the 2017 Felabration wrapped up.

    1. Thank you. That Imo state governor is such a jerk...building a statue in honor of someone facing corruption charges in his country, someone who have refused to condemn the killing of Nigerians in his country. Smh
