On Friday, June 2, 2017, Seyi Tinubu, son of the pillar
of democracy (Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu), and his Lebanese wife, Layal
Jade, welcomed a baby girl in London, the United Kingdom. The tot came
to the world at the renowned The Portland Hospital for Women and
Children in Marylebone to the delight of parents, grandparents and
family.
For the Holms, Tinubu’s in-laws, it’s their first grandchild. And they are more than ecstatic at the good news.
The Jagaban Bogu and Senator Oluremi Tinubu are over the moon as the news reached them in the afternoon.
Seyi and Layal were united as man and wife in Lagos at Iga Iduganran
palace of Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Rilwan Akiolu (Olowo Eko omo
Erin j’ogun ola) on Monday, August 8, 2016.
The ceremony which kicked off with a solemnisation at 11 am,
dovetailed into a reception attended by the cream of high society. We
counted Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr. Femi Otedola, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,
Prof. Pat Utomi, Mr. Jim Ovia, Ooni of Ife (Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi)
and politicians of different hues at the nuptials.
A year earlier, the long time lovers staged a traditional wedding in Accra (Ghana) on November 6, 2015.
The wedding proper was at Lake Como (Italy) on August 9 and 10, 2016.
And the lovers have been out of public eye ever since. The good news
of their first child’s arrival – at The Portland Hospital (established
in 1983) on Great Portland Street in the posh West End area of London –
was greeted with prayers and loving thoughts and warm wishes by many…
