Victor Anichebe and DJ Cuppy are the new celebrity friends turned lovers.
The footballer surprised his boo with a brand new G-Wagon on her 24th birthday on November 11, and they’ve now emerged as the new relationship goal for young Nigerians.
Cuppy, whose father is billionaire, Femi Otedola, however branded him ‘best boyfriend ever’.
Anichebe presently plays as a forward for Premier League club Sunderland, managed by former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes.
Moyes raised Anichebe from the Everton U18s in 2006, with Anichebe getting to play for the Everton first team soon after, before moving to West Bromwich Albion in 2013 after seven years at Goodison Park.
The 28-year-old became a free agent in July 2016 and was snapped up by Moyes, who had taken the managerial post at Sunderland at the start of the 2016/17 season.
The Black Cats got their first league win of the season against Bournemouth early in November after 11 matches played, though remain bottom of the league table.
Anichebe scored in the match, with his goal in the game being his first competitive goal since May 2015 (about 18 months).
The 28-year-old striker reportedly earns about £11m annually.
Anichebe has only made 16 appearances for Nigerian national team (5 for Nigeria U23 and 11 for the Super Eagles) and he won Olympic silverware competing for Nigeria in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
